“Dancing for you for one minute” installation
Edyta Kozak (Poland)
Concept: Edyta Kozak
Special thanks to: Kaya Kołodziejczyk
In this installation, which constitutes the beginning of a triptych, Kozak offers her creative space to the audience members by allowing them to take on the role of a dancer and choreographer. Having randomly chosen 1 out of 999 different music pieces, the participant has to interpret it on stage for one minute. The artist creates intimate environment allowing to experience the change that one undergoes once they enter a stage. The viewer chooses what kind of dance and for whom he or she will perform for one minute. These individual one-minute long etudes created by viewers combine into a collective identity of the author, and the artistic work is never finished since it lasts as long as there is a possibility for another audience member participating in it.
Installation is going to be held through out the day.
This installation is a part of the project “Trilogy of Dance”. The presentation of the project is supported by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland and Adam Mickiewicz Institute.
